Community Housing and Resources announced that Cielo, MudBugs Cajun Kitchen and Heidrick & Co. Insurance are all manatee sponsors for its annual fundraiser, “Manatee Madness.” In addition, each business is hosting one of the manatee mailbox sculptures that were transformed into unique works of art by local award-winning artists. The public can find Kym Mason’s “Martin” at Cielo, at 1244 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel; Cath Branwood’s “Mondrian the Manatee” at MudBugs Cajun Kitchen, at 1473 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel; and Brian Weaver’s “As the World Turns, So Do We” at Heidrick & Co. Insurance, at 1648 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. The sculptures are scheduled to be auctioned off to the highest bidders at a “walk-through” event on April 11 at the Sanibel Historical Museum and Village.
